The IMpossible Story

Meet Rose

Founder, Educator, Wellness Guide

I discovered Pilates during a season when I was searching for a deeper connection with my body. Fresh out of my first master’s degree at Tufts University, I realized I had been living almost entirely in my head: driven, analytical, and outwardly accomplished, yet disconnected and struggling with low confidence and a diminished sense of my own physical presence. I wanted to feel alive again.

Pilates changed that. Its emphasis on mind-body integration, breath, and neuromuscular awareness taught me how to trust my body, rebuild confidence, and inhabit myself with more ease. It allowed me to “walk the talk”—to align my training in global public health with the kind of embodied, whole-person wellness I had always believed in.

My pivot from global affairs to founding a wellness studio may seem unexpected, but to me it reflects a deeper continuum: I went from analyzing world systems to supporting the quiet systems of the human body. From studying global resilience to helping people cultivate personal resilience. From theory to lived practice.

That is the space I aim to offer here in my private home studio in Irvine, and through both in-person sessions and virtual experiences. Each session blends Reformer Pilates with mindfulness, breathwork, and gentle yoga-inspired stretching. It’s movement that meets you where you are—especially on the days when you feel overwhelmed, off-center, or stretched thin.

My background spans more than a decade in movement, public health, and community well-being, from health programs in Western Massachusetts to global work in planetary health. Across these experiences, one truth has remained constant: stress, trauma, and the pace of modern life often pull us out of our bodies. Intentional and compassionate movement can help bring us back.

I’ve trained at institutions such as Tufts, MIT, Brown, and University of Minnesota, always asking the same core question: What helps people feel well—mind, body, and spirit?

We heal when we come home to our bodies.

Here’s what experience continues to teach me:

When we move with alignment, breathe with intention, and feel safe enough to listen inward, the body becomes a partner in strength, confidence, and meaningful transformation.

If you’re coming out of a hard season, entering a new one, rebuilding your energy, relearning your confidence, or simply trying to feel more grounded—you’re not alone.

You don’t have to be ready.
You just need somewhere to begin.
And I’d be honored for this to be that place.

Let’s Begin Together

At IMpossible Pilates, we believe:

  • Everything is possible.

  • Your body is capable.

  • And so are you.

We’re more than Pilates.
We’re a space to return to yourself—and rise.
